John “AJ” Cecil


A.J. began his career in the legal field working for a firm in Salt Lake City where he assisted in cases involving major U.S controversies including suits against the FBI and CIA, amongst other clerking duties. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Utah while playing football, A.J. moved to Idaho to attend school at the University of Idaho College of Law. While there, he participated in the Entrepreneurship Clinic, worked hand in hand with the University’s General Counsel, and advised a small construction company with their business. A.J. came to his current position in 2022 after clerking for the Honorable Mary Jane Knisely in the Thirteenth Judicial District.

A.J. quickly proved himself an effective trial attorney who handles cases in family and criminal law, construction contracts, personal injury, and other civil litigation matters. He prides himself most on upholding the Constitution and ensuring that all clients are represented equally and have the same access to justice. A.J. is a zealous advocate for those that do not feel like they have any other other place to turn and for those that need help.
